I have to kill the android with the RL because its death triggers a door to open. At least I managed to skip the worst one when a door trigger is delayed with 15 seconds. This is the easy part of the level, thanks to a big bunch of random things the final time in this part will always differ with a few seconds. There are another two guards hidden in the shower, if you have been detected in the dining room they will engage you and the guard from the dining room will of course chase you. Even though it is possible to just rush past him and stir up hell among the guards you won't make it through the level that way, the reason for this is the scripted event in the toilet. In the dining room it is necessary to sneak past the guard. Right after that I got unlucky and a bug caused me to get stuck in the floor (not the first time that happened), this time I managed to get loose after one second or so thanks to some crazy button mashing. Timing is crucial here, you go to soon or too early one of them will spot you and then you have one second left to live. The only moment of concern is when I'm supposed to sneak past a bunch of predators by using wallclimbing. I have disabled the music because it is disturbing.Ī very short level as a facehugger. Another difference is that the predalien move slower when crawling so upright running is preferred most of the time.
I also try to avoid headbites as much as possible, the predalien headbite is slower and more inaccurate than ordinary alien headbite. Unfortunately the bugs in the original game plague the expansion as well, so once again single segment is out of the question. In my opinion the predalien story is the cheapest, they even separated facehugger phase and chestburster phase into two levels leaving only one level for you as an adult predalien.
Only three levels to play through, and none of them are very long. If you thought the original AvP 2 was short the expansion will make you even more disappointed.
